Ideas on how to prepare for NCLEX

Hi everyone! I am a nursing student and I am going to graduate the first part of May. I was wondering if anyone could give me some good ideas on how to prepare for the NCLEX. I am also wondering if anyone has done the Hurst review and if I could get some feedback? Any information would be greatly appreciated :)!!!!!

Remember that there can be several right answers to questions, you have to choose the most correct one. That can be tricky.

When i took the nclex i purchased a few q & a books and practiced questions like there was no tomorrow. I'd get into study sessions with other people from my nursing class and we'd take "mini nclex's", afterward discussing our answers and the rationales goven in the book -or determining one on our own if none was available. Just keep practicing, get used to the formats of the questions and as previously stated - know that there may be more than one right answer - but one will be best. On that note - be aware of the questions that test your prioritizing skills.

And one final pearl of wisdom: Slow down, take your time and above all read the question.

I used to have an instructor when i was training to be a firefighter who would write on our answer sheets before an exam RTFQ: read the F___ question.

When I worked tech support as a consultant for my university's IT department, we had a big stenciled abbreviation pasted on our wall:

RTFM - Read The F______ Manual
