im currently working a a nurse review consultant in the field of education but even if im not working in the clinical area right now im so proud to be a RN! Being a nurse is very "noble" profession wherein you only not give care and save lives but somehow you try to educate and inspire other people in different ways. isn't that great?

Hi,

While I don't spend every day single handedly saving lives and stamping out disease I am also proud to be a nurse. :)

Maybe even more, I'm proud that I found the willpower to get through nursing school and now I am enjoying the fruits of my labor.

I hope that I can one day say that I'm proud to be a nurse!!!

I don't have some huge sense of pride because I'm an RN but my mom sure is proud that I am. I don't hide the fact but I don't shout it from the rooftops either.

I am VERY grateful to be an RN because it's a profession that I really enjoy, I earn a very good living, I have a truly flexible schedule and it's a stable job.

With the current status of the U.S. economy I'm really grateful to have a reliable job with no fear of layoff.

As for the rest, well that depends on the day. ;)

I neither hold a sense of pride or gratitude on being an RN. But, I am not one to have any form of self pride. I am grateful that I am in a profession that allows me job opportunities during recession/depression & I do not have to worry about losing my home or feeding my family because of unemployment, no matter what the profession may be.

However, I am fulfilled in that I am given the opportunity and responsibility to make a positive difference in people's lives and occasionally save a life. No greater feeling on this planet than to shock a person's heart back to a life sustaining beat and find out that the person made it to go home, or when a patient that you hardly remember comes back to the hospital to hand you some token in appreciation for 'just doing my job'

I proud that I am a nurse, and have all the experience I have - with that said, I would gladly trade nursing for almost anything else, if the new job would pay my bills. I'm burned out and the stress isn't worth it.

When we eventually sell our home, then I'll be out the door. Working at Wallmart or K-mart sounds good to me!
