How much PTO does everyone get?

Just wondering how much PTO all the full-time nurses get and how many years of service you have? I'm curious about all fields of RN work - hospital, sub-acute, CM, insurance, etc.

I've been at my current insurance company for 2 years and get 19 days a year (that includes vacation/sick/floating holiday).

Our PTO hours include sick and vacation time up to 360 hours total = 30 12 hour shifts or 45 8 hour shifts. I think if one goes over you have to use them or lose them by the end of the fiscal year, but don't quote me on that. We also have limits on how many times we can call out in a rolling year, but depends on your contract appointment.

Forgot to add that this is the same amount all new hires receive and applied to everyone working a .5 or more.

PTO was one of the biggest reasons I left my last job. I went from 18 days there to 33 days at my current job.

At Wrongway Regional Medical Center, since I work weekend option and am paid much more than I'm worth, I get 2.7 hours of PTO per pay. Every two weeks.

Regular employees get 7 hours of PTO per pay.

Since you haven't been given any PTO in two years, RockinNurse, I thought I'd give you a Like.

PTO at my work is accumulated according to a percentage of work hrs per pay period. The longer a person has worked there, the higher the percentage & faster PTO is earned. When I started, I earned about 5 hrs per pay period. Now, it's usually between 8 to 9 depending on how many hrs I worked. It also rolls over each yr; I have about 190 hrs last I looked.

I get 5 weeks a year of vacation time and 2 1/2 weeks a year sick time and federal holidays off or double time my choice

Is that at a VA hospital?
