How long is your commute?

Nurses General Nursing

Call me crazy, but I am considering commuting to my next nursing job! (Still in school here, so I am just day dreaming) I live in NorthWest Florida where nursing jobs are a rare find, not to mention the low pay for Florida nurses. I actually commute now to Houston TX every other week for my flight attendant job. I am thinking about applying to some Level I and II hospitals out there, as a PRN, because I do have the benefits of stand by flying. I hope to work a day, two or three there and fly home. I do not want to move out of my paradise home..! :redbeathe

Specializes in M/S, Travel Nursing, Pulmonary.
3 miles.

Free parking

I park right in front of the side entrance to ICU, so it takes me a whopping 36 seconds to walk from my car to our unit :D

Dang. Nice. My hospital is doing construction and we have to walk MILES. But, I have to give credit where it is due, my facility does not charge for parking either.

Wow. I love mountains, I want to move back to WA just to be able to see Mt. Rainier once a month. IDK if I want to drive through one to get to work though.

My thoughts exactly! I've got about a 40-minute drive on the freeway to and from work, and my satellite radio is all that saves me on my way home some mornings after 14 hours.
