I went in and talked with him; he answered my questions (just general about how he was doing, etc.) I just wanted to smell his breath myself. Couldn't smell anything. Left the room; made rounds, came back in the room and helped him turn his pt. Afterwards, he used some of that alcohol-based foam, and BOY! could I ever smell the gin (alcohol smell)! But the smell was gone in less than a minute.
If your sister is being accused of smelling like alcohol, suggest that she use a different hand cleaner that doesn't have the alcohol smell. Go out and buy her some; that will at least give you something constructive to do for now. There are several different brands on the market and one of them ought to smell less like ETOH than the one she is currently using.

Anyway, turned out to be the hand wash...we just laughed about it...........................LR
