Help! I need ideas!

  1. We recently had our hospital surveyed, one of the areas of concern was how to show that we had an intradiscipilary approach to patient care. In our ICU we work closely with the ancillary staff but have no protocol for documenting this. How does your facillity meet this standard?

We just started using interdisciplinary progress notes where everyone documents in the same location so everyone involved in the patients care knows what the other is doing.

Here again, one MORE reason we should be using clinical pathways rather than nursing care plans. Just my opinion.

Agree totally with pathways. They cover the bases but you can still individualize them easily enough.
