Heaven now has another Angel

I found out this morning that a nurse friend of mine of over ten years died tragically in a housefire sunday morning. She was a good teacher and a good friend. I had the privelege of working with her for a while. Such a joy to be around. I learned so much from her. Her best advice to me has always stuck with me and I will never forget it. She always told me to cover my ***. I have stuck to this advice and it will be my pleasure to honor her. Please remember her family and friends in your prayers. She will be missed.

I'm so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep your heart open so you can feel your Angel and Heaven's presence with you when you're working ...

I am so very sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Her advice made me nod and giggle..smart nurse! Now when I think of that phrase I will remember a sweet spirit, smart nurse who is in heaven...proably reminding all of us to always watch out for yourself :)

aw triage, only you....:balloons:

and you're so diplomatic.

when i read about the op's eloquent presentation of her friend followed by the "cya" warning, i didn't expect that advice but the post made me smile.

i was going to comment on it but opted not to.

now after reading your post.....well, yes, this nurse really was something else.

not only a sweet, sensitive spirit but quite the character.

i'll be smiling along right with you.

It seemed like a good and good sense memory for the OP, so I thought I would comment and say how that memory is a great one, and very true...and will continue on through people reading the wonderful post :).

I lift up a glass..and say..."to CYA!" Salute to her and a happy memory that we think of daily!

There's a special place in Heaven for nurses, ya know. I'm so sorry for you loss.
