i know this isn't going to be much help. but my grandmother (yess grandmother) many years ago was a nurse there and she loved it. it was in the 1945. my mother was young and she went with her , she said it was beautiful !! my mother said it was right after the war they just returned from pearl harbor.

Hello Erikadawn RN!

I recently took up an offer for this organization working as a camp nurse. I wanted to know if you ended up taking the position and how was your experience? Thank you so much:)

I took a job with Camp Vacamas I didn't do the Fresh Air Fund camp. But I really like camp nursing

Oh ok, thank you for your feedback. Did you do anything in particular to prepare for the summer ahead? It's my first nursing job:w00t:

I didn't do anything special, but since I have been a few summers. I take plenty of reading materials, stamps, envelopes, snacks, and I ALWAYS take bug spray. I'm not talking OFF, I mean RAID. Usually the nurses station is closed up all winter. A room soon as I arrive, I go in and spray my room down, i probaly use half a can. I then go back a few hours later and clean it. That way I can rest easy, I don't like creepy crawlers and there's usually some hiding in the crevices. Just be open minded and have fun!

Okie dokie! Thank you for the good recommendations, especially the RAID!:clown: I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I will definitely be spraying my room down as soon as I get in. There's nothing more annoying than creepy crawlers, especially when I'm trying to get a good nights rest! Woohoo, can't wait!
