Hi. This movie is on Lifetime this Friday. I thought it might be an interesting movie to watch. I have heard that one scene includes someone having a spinal tap.
A friend of mine who is a nurse told me that every RN has her "thing" that she cannot deal with..For my friend, it is sputum(sp?) and for me, it is a spinal tap(and I have had 2 epidurals, so go figure).
Anyway, has anyone seen this? Is the scene bad? And when does it come in the movie?
TIA

We watched this is one of my intro nursing classes - very interesting, yet disgusting ethically (its about the Tuskegee experiments).
It does have a spinal tap scene, and it's not pretty. Sorry I'm not much help on when it occurs, but I distinctly remember that scene as it's pretty agonizing to watch... It's towards the middle of the if I remember correctly. It is drawn out a bit - just stop watching as soon as you see someone laying down on his side! :) easier said than done I know.
But I definitely recommend the movie - sad, but very good.

Yes, I've seen it. It was a great movie just sad that we actually put people through that. I am too one that can't stand needles in the back. I passed out in nursing school watching one and didn't even feel grossed out about it at the time but I guess I was. (I had never passed out at anything before and have not since.) I don't even remember the spinal tap scene in great detail so I think you'll get through it if I did! :)
Thanks for the replies. I figured that they made the spinal tap scene look worse than it actually is for dramatic purposes. I'll watch and see how much I can take..

Yes I have seen it, it's a great movie (not under the circumstances of why it was made) but it was done very well. We had to watch it in Ethics class and do some projects on it. I remember the spinal tap seen but I don't remember it bothering me ??? There is another part that bothered me WAYYYY more but I don't want to say anything since you haven't seen it, report back Friday after you watch the movie and I'll tell you
