Wish they had an Oscar's type show for all the wonderful nurses I have worked with in my career. I have witnessed some truely amazing moments by some really wonderful people. So from the bottom of my heart, in the spirit of celebration for those wonderful men and women, HAPPY NURSE'S WEEK!

When I saw your post I ran out to Walmart this AM to pick up some Nurses' Week greeting cards (they have some very nice ones there). I got a card for our school nurse and three of my favorite nurses. Then I was told that Nurses' Week is May 6 - 12.

tell you something funny..at my partime job the all the icu nurses got $50 gift cards from the mda's and intern. med doc's. they paid for it themselves! this vastly overshadowed the generic emailed cards that came from hospital admin and nsg admin. thought that was really special.

Happy Nurses Week!

Not sure if they are doing it this year but last year Dunkin Donuts had free iced coffee after 4pm for nurses during Nurses Week.
