do any of you work at MCV or worked at MCV in 1998-1999????

Im looking for anyone who worked on the Cardio transplant team. My Dad was there for 15mo - yes 15 months waiting on a heart longest anybody has waited in a hospital for a transplant. He received his heart on May 14, 1999.

so is there anybody out there who might know him????? I can tell you my parents renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary in the hospital chapel.

My parents did not live in VA actually they lived in WV and all us kids live in OH and one in KY.Mom & Dad are now in OH.

I sure hope somebody is out there that remembers my Dad.

And I wanted to tell them "thank you" - my Dad has never said a bad thing about his stay there - he still goes back for his tests & biopsy's instead of going to the Cleveland Clinic.

Specializes in ER, Occupational Health, Cardiology.

I am from the deep South, so did not know your Dad, but I am happy that his story has turned out so well. I wish you children and your Mom many more years to enjoy him. May God bless!

I'm glad that your father is doing so well, but to come forward on a public forum violates HIPAA and puts these nurses at risk for discipline. Why not write a letter to the hospital administration talking about the wonderful care he received? It's nice to hear how good nursing makes an impact not only on the patient, but on the entire family. More people these days only send a letter if they have a complaint!

Take care,

I have to agree with the above poster. I am so happy your father is doing so well and encourage you to write a nice letter to the hospital.

Folks on the internet should not identify themselves. Anonymity is best and safest. Take care.
