First, what is your grade point average?

take some classes as an unclassified student.

66% average...

don't do anything till you talk to the Dean in the graduate program (if conventional school) or advisor if online program. No sense in wasting time and money if they have preferences.

What type of degree do you have at this moment?

66% average...

I'm not sure what that 66% average means. Are you saying that you graduated college with a D average or were you in the 66th percentile?

66% average...

How did you graduate from nursing school with a D average? If you really mean that your average is 66% out of 100%, I don't think I would call that mediocre or average.

I am aware its not great but yes it is average. Before you make any judgement, maybe you should consider that different schools/countries have a different method/guide to convert grades?? Should think about that. Just because I had a rough start in university does not make me a bad nurse. I'm simply asking a question and do not need to be judged. I'm not proud of my grades and there were many factors that played apart of it and I'm very regretful of those decisions. But regretting now won't help my future, therefore I am asking for advice now so I can get to where I want to be.

I think mainly everyone is just confused by your comment of having a 66% grade average. In the US, schools (high school and beyond) grade on a 4.0 scale. Those of us in the US simply are trying to understand what a 66% means and how that compares with others.

I don't think anyone is judging...we're just trying to understand.

I'm not judging, I'm just confused. Everywhere I've been to school, a 66% is a D, and most nursing schools I know of consider anything under a C to be failing. Therefore, a B average (80+%) would be "average/mediocre". Hence my confusion.

We're looking for clarification on what exactly your grade average is (in terms most of us would understand) in order to better help you answer the question in your OP.

I am guessing that the OP had some bad grades in some general ed classes that she took before nursing school that is keeping her GPA low. If that's the case, talk to someone at the college you want to attend. They may have an academic forgiveness policy for old grades. It might include retaking some classes. If that won't work, you will just have to take classes and make good grades to bring your up GPA. Go somewhere inexpensive like a community college and take some classes that interest you or classes that might help you in your career, like learning a foreign language.
