Frame for RN license

Ok, this might be a silly question, but...

I want to get a frame for my RN license. I worked hard for it and I think it would make me proud to display it under my Bachelor degree. However, it is a funky size. I think I measured something like 4 by 5. I'm not sure. I've definitely seen licenses displayed before in other venues, like the hair dresser, etc, so these size frames must exist.

Does anyone know...would I need to get like a 5 by 7 matte in an 8 by 11? I'm only asking first because I don't want to go out and buy something that doesn't fit. I figure someone in the nursing world must be as loser-ish as me:yeah:

Have a great day!:nurse::redbeathe:p

ps: if it helps, I have a Florida license...

Don't you need to carry your license? Ours (Indiana) are wallet-size and I have to produce it every now & then at work for various HR issues.

In Wisconsin I was given both a wallet size and framing size.

I purchased a simple diploma frame from Target or maybe it was Office Depot or something of the like.

Mine is approximately 8.5X11 at least compared to a standard sheet of printer paper (I have fancy measuring tools I know!)

Well you could always take it to a store like Michael's ( a chain of craft stores). They could make you a specific size matte to fit into an 8x10 frame. Just a thought. And they could make it in a color to complement the license.

Heck in Texas you don't even get a copy of it anymore. They have gone completely paperless.

I had mine professionally framed along with my college college diploma. It really did not cost much and it looks really nice.

Tis how it is in OHIO, too. All for this goin green thing...argh!!!I will continue to keep a compy of even an older one on my in case of emergency, and then someone can double check the BON site to reconfirm everything. I know 'hug the trees' is the way they want us to think, but sometimes I say let the SUVs run the road and bring back 'real gasoline with real prices'!!!!!!!

My Degrees are custom framed and the mats around them are somewaht my college colors, expect to pay 100 +. I have run into a problem a few times where an agency or school wants a copy of my degree and im not about to take them out of the frame. I have sent a digital pic of them and some Ive had to send transcripts to prove that the degree is real.

I purchased a floater frame. The actual frame is probably 10 x 13 inches and my 8 x 11 certificate (I don't get a paper license either) "floats" between two panes of glass. I found mine at Kohl's. http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/webstore/product_page.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524892358540&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374752628269&searchTerm=document+frame&bmUID=1251744661159#
