Foreign graduate.."2 yr exp. required"...??

*i put this on another discussion but maybe i would get feedback from other sources....

so i tried calling up hospitals about their new graduate rn program and to my surprise some of them require a 1 or 2 yr work experience before i can get in their program. Their reason being is i am a foreign graduate from another country (philippines) but i am an american citizen who recently passed my nclex this august with 1 attempt, 75 q's. i am not bragging...but i did put a lot of hard work, preparation, dedication to get my license and now i am a registered nurse...some hospitals do NOTwant to accept a foreign graduate? i understand that a "newbie:, i have limited clinical experience at this point but i possess a body of knowledge that can be put to good use in different hospital settings. just like new RNs out there...i am full of energy, enthuastic, and eager to learn and work hard. what more can they ask for? hayy...a nurse recruiter advised on working in a rehabilitative nurse facility, nursing homes, ltc to brush up on my time management. ( what is the difference between working in nursing facility and a hospital?) but isn't that one of the many things you learn from a "new graduate rn program" AND is that why there is such program to help the transition from school to hospital settings?

Any inputs, thoughts about my dilemma. Please enlighten me.... :saint:
