Do ASN/ADN nurses still get hired in the hospital?

I'm in PA and there is a palpable shortage here. Facilities can't hire people fast enough and the "Lets retain our nurses" approach is in place again.
So how's the pay compared to the COL? Are there many good places to work? How's about the weather?

Whenever I hear the term "forced out to pasture", I think of what my Dad told me about growing up on a dairy farm.
There was no pasture for old cows; they were sold to the butcher.
Thanks.. that was helpful. Perhaps I should tell my son to sell my carcass.

I wish employers around here would care about retaining nurses 😆

Thanks but... corporate health care ... is not known for their wisdom . They are known for caring for the bottom line.
So true. Sorry about this. I have learned from your posts. I hope you find something better or at least good. Best wishes.
