FNP vs WHNP

Hello,

I want to become an NP, and my dream job would be to work with expecting mothers. But I am leaning towards FNP because I don't want to be stuck in one field if I want to change things up a bit. Is this a good idea or should I just go for WHNP?

Thanks!

seems to me you need to know a lot more about what those positions entail. for example, if your dreeeeaaaammmmm job is working with pregnant women, you should be thinking about being a certified nurse midwife.

look into each of these a bit more, go online and see what each program consists of (prerequisites, course list, requirements) and then shake the magic 8 ball again. right now it says, "ask again later."

well the thing is I don't want to do L & D, and I don't mind working with other women's issues too. So that's why I ruled out midwifery...and the NFP gives me wiggle room in regards to the unit I work on etc. ..?
