Filling Out CNA Applications (PT. 2)

Hello,

Some of you may have helped with this the last time, (here is the original thread: https://allnurses.com/cna-nursing-assistant/filling-out-applications-452764.html#post4093351) but I have one more question:

For those of you that had paid caregiving experience prior to receiving your CNA certificate - Did you end up putting what you really made (as a caregiver) in the "start pay/final pay" portion of the application? I'd like to put what I was acually paid so that maybe they will start me out closer to that range, but I don't know. Or will that even matter? Isn't that why they ask for that info? Will it make a differnce in what they decide to start paying me? Many thanks for any and all responses!

Put the information down if it is asked for. You don't want to bring any questions to mind when someone reads your application. The interviewer may, or may not, refer to this information when they offer you a job. I have found that it made no difference what my previous pay has been when an employer wants to pay me less. They act like it is "take it or leave it", certainly the next applicant will be happy to take it.
