Ever get the urge to release a horde of flying monkeys?

yeah....me too.

without exhausting details: my week has sucked (i am well aware it is only tuesday, however i've got thirty four tedium and drama flooded hours under my belt already.) i am consumed with the urge to harm wayward cephalopods, engage in a ballet riddled knife fight a la west side story, or set free my resident pack of velociraptors.

so what is a flailing, irritable lactose food product smothered tuber to do?

this. video seconds 29 - 51. glorious. splendid.

and suddenly, alone, pouting, grumpier than a freshly shaven (shorn?) grizzly bear, i find myself smiling back at the screen.

what does this have to do with nursing?

i'm a nurse.

i'm having a moment of rawr.

nuff said.

got a great video? got a joke? got something that makes you inadvertently lavage your sinuses with soda?

share.

save the cephalopods.

Yikes, all this 2 days into the week. As the late great George Carlin once said:

"I think TGI Fridays should change their name to HSIOW's... Holy Sh1t It's Only Wednesday's. I think they'd sell a lot more liquor that way."

I'll leave you with this:

lways good for an "lol"

Thanks for that video.

Not quite sure what I find more amusing about that whole bit--the fact it was set to Vivaldi's Four Seasons: Winter or.....or the fact that such a thing resembled a certain nurse ::cough:: yours truly ::cough:: trying to coax herself out of bed and back the land of the living after a week of trauma call.

Quick aside:

George Carlin was a rockstar of comedy. I have his books on my kindle and I am not the least bit ashamed to admit it aloud.

You are in good company: cephalopods beware.

Drunk man videos make me really happy that camcorders were fairly uncommon and were mostly the possessions of the "rich kids" and the old folks during my formative years.

It'd suck to be young and dumb these days.

I'm gonna start muttering "release the monkey horde!" the next time I get aggravated at work. This thread is full of win based on title alone.

i have to be honest - my barrel of "give a dam" is pretty much empty already this week. I feel beat down and really need a full body massage from some young piece of eye candy. I feel like saying to some of my students, "Oh, you have a headache because you didn't eat breakfast? Come back next week, I may actually give a dam then." Snarky snarky me.... tsk tsk tsk

I love this video (11 minutes long). Just when I am at my wits end, it reminds me that there are good people out there, and restores my faith in mankind.

Oh and I do have a funny! When the clique gets on my nerves (and it's happening more and more lately) I start getting testy. Whenever I start talking about it, I can feel my voice getting growly. My friend - the self proclaimed whitest guy in America - pats my shoulder and says "Shan, please don't go ethnic on us. I can't talk you down from the ledge when you do that." Which just ticks me off more.....then I start thinking of the ridiculous caricatures there are of minority women on TV - and how many of them are based on truth, you can admit it! - and it just cracks me up. So now I use the standard "don't make me go ethnic on you" whenever someone tests me lol

He says if I ever start popping my neck and speaking about myself in third person, he's calling a staff emergency :lol2:

I'm not a nurse yet, (but I do have five children who lately have been driving me out of my mind, and summer break is right around the corner:bugeyes:) starting in the fall. I have a video to share, we watched this in microbiology last semester and I found it quite amusing:lol2:
