After just a couple months on the floor, I've developed dry, red, and itchy skin. What have you used to soothe your skin? I'm looking for suggestions! The lotion aisle has so many choices!

A visit to your PCP/allergist to rule out an allergy to something used at work. My one coworker had been dealing with the most horrendous dry skin, eczema, etc. Finally went for an allergy test- allergic to our waterless surgical hand rub and our latex and non-latex gloves. Now scrubs with a special soap and wears special gloves that were ordered for him.

My hands get raw and cracked in the winter when the air gets so dry. I use Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula hand cream, applied liberally, with cotton gloves at bedtime. At work I use the lotion we have at the desk. I can't remember what the brand is, but the bottle has an olive branch on it. This is actually my 3rd job which uses that lotion, so must be a popular choice for nurses.

I'd definitely take Rose Queen's suggestion though first!
