Absolutely, I was stopped by a CHP officer driving home from work; there was also a hospital in direction I was headed. He asked me if there was an emergency and the moment I said "no" I realized he had rolled out the red carpet for me to tell him I was en route to a staffing shortage or something of that nature and I had missed that one.
I slid on the ice en route from home, although my totaled car was not in the road the co-worker who picked me up & I drove back and forth until CHP sowed up, I told him I was coming home from my job at the county jail; he did not cite me.

I have gotten out of maybe 20-25 tickets. I know for a fact about 6 of those were because I was a nurse, but the others I think it had more to do with being an ER nurse and working with the cops so frequently. I knew them well. A friend even got pulled over in my car and the officer when looking at the registration asked him "******** that works in the ER??" and my friend said yes, he was picking me up from a night out and the officer let him go.

Boy, if you've gotten out of 20-25 tickets you must have a serious case of lead foot!
I do, like really bad. I have been trying really hard this year to work on it. Especially after my last ticket. Definitely didn't get out of that one. :| I travel a ton too though all over the country so I am driving a lot.
