Do you keep your license(s) in your wallet?

I am a (happily) newly licensed RN and as I lovingly gaze at my shiny new card, I'm wondering if I should keep it in my wallet, or in a safe spot at home?

Same question for my BLS and ACLS cards....

What do you guys do?

Our state is doing away with hard licenses, so after next year, I will not have one to keep in my wallet

I'm not an RN yet, but I have an EMT license through my state - I have the certificate which stays at home and the card which I keep in my wallet.

My RN license, ACLS, and PALS are in my safe at home. I do carry my BLS card but a copy of it is at home as well.

I carry the card version of my license because I need my license number on a death certificate to pronounce a death.

We don't get hard copies anymore either...but when we did I used to carry mine in a plastic pocket on my work badge until my boss asked me to take it out and put it in a safe place telling me a story about how someone had stolen her friends nursing license and got a job pretending to be this nurse...there was lots of red tape for her friend....

We were always told you should always have it in your immediate possession. In the 3 states I'm licensed in they send me a wallet and a certificate form of proof of licensure. I do carry the wallet form with me. My BCLS etc I keep in a firesafe.

I have copies of all the cards in my wallet, but not the original
