Hey there! Happy Nurse's Week to all of us!

Just a short note, May has been declared National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month ::D

My son in law died this past January, at the age of 25, from the ravages of this lethal genetic disease. Research for the cure is supported solely by donations from individuals receiving no federal funding. CF is considered an "orphan" disease since only 30,000 people in the US are affected by it. Your dollars have helped raise the median life expectancy to 37 years!

Please visit http://www.CFF.org for more info on this disease and to donate. 97 cents of every dollar you donate is spent directly on research. Great Strides Walks are taking place in every city in the US in the month of May, get out and walk and /or volunteer for this worthy cause! Many thanks to everyone.

Another quick note, the Great Strides Walk in downtown DC was a great success with many walkers and volunteers. Many thanks to the Metro DC chapter for putting this together so fantastically, to the law firm that gave so generously of it's facility and monies (rooftop Happy Hour) and the volunteers from this law firm that gave so generously of their time and efforts! To all the Walkers.....woohoo!!!
