A little background first, I'm a 56 year old male RN. On Wed. night I had some mid sternal chest pain and just didn't feel good. On Thursday morning I went to work as usual but still had some chest pain and felt crappy. After 45 min. at work I left and headed for home and called my pcp who made an appt for that afternoon to come in. Had an EKG done and doc did not like results and said go to the ER to be evaluated. After eval was admitted with chest pain R/O MI. Cardio consult was ordered and after consult was completed was sch for angiogram on Friday morning. Had angio and LAD was 90% occulded,

doc said she was just able to get a balloon to the clot and do the angioplasty and place a stent. I feel greatful I didn't need a cabg, doc said it was real close. Someone was watching over me and that was my lucky day to say the least. :D
