Hi im a clerk/receptionist in an outpatients clinic and the nursing officer gave me a task of clinical nurse just because they couldnt find a nurse to do it.i find it very stressful and no matter what i tell her she doesnt listen she just shouts at me all the time.i feel really depressed .i asked a million times for a transfer but manager wont care.so i will change my hours to part time as i cant handle anymore this life do u think itll be better my decision?

Call your clinic's legal department. It is illegal to represent yourself as a nurse without a nursing license.

I dont know who to call :/ i live in malta. Apperently they use clerk and even careworkers at this clinic which do the job of clinical nurse...its the only outpatients at a hospital that has a clerk or careworker doing a nurse role..i cant tolerate such abuse my pay is notthat of a nurse

Having a clerk act as a nurse isn't safe even if it's legal. I'd be looking for another job.

Actually iv been looking for other jobs with no success

The only options i have is that to become a reliever which is to substitute sick or people on holidays (clerks) but i dont like that as itll be 6day a week.i work 5days..

So im opting for last option that is part time ill be doing clerk duties and choose what hours i work and yes ill be substituting sick or clerks in holidays

I will leave this place and shame that the new clerk there will have to be a nurse!!!! Our nursing officer is terrible at managment and shes very mean i never liked her from day one all shes good at is ordering and shouting
