    Remember, assessment should begin with identifying normal range based on individual characteristics or status.

    these are the ranges as published by the AACN Pediatric Critical Care Pocket Reference

    0-1mo HR 100-180, RR 30-60
    1MO-12MO HR 80-150, RR 30-60

    make sure you also evaluate the persistance of any symptoms and how they correlate to the pulse and resps. Is pulse Oximetry oK .> 94%..Bp's normal, EKG if you want to investigate further. Discomfort or lack of air upon exertion etc...
