ATI exams to prepare for boards

I would like to know what new nurses or students feel about the ATI exams? Not sure what was wrong with the way I studied for NCLEX = I passed, I had to study my butt off. Mt students have nothing good to say about the ATI so far.

I am in my last semester of Nursing school and we've had to take ATI the whole way through. I don't know. I've heard mixed things. I don't know if it is a good predictor of NCLEX pass rate, but I certainly don't think it helps prepare you. I've heard of people who never passed a single ATI (passing being above the 50% in the nation) who passed NCLEX on the first time. As I said, I don't know. I don't think it helps prepare, but it may be a helpful indicator of how ready you are.

Hello,

My program also issues the ATI tests each quarter and we need to pass them, (or else...) We had to take the teas of ATI at the start and we will have to take it upon completion.

Oh, I don't really know how well it is a predictor for NCLEX-RN...I guess it may be a good predictor of taking the ATI however. :roll

The school supplied the books and we had to purchase, something like 500 dollars worth of books and cds. I give them away when I can. Who has time to study the books when there are school texts to study for homework and I have a Thompson NCLEX-RN review to study starting asap.
