Hi! I'm currently a graduate from high school with a Certification in Nursing Assisting. I'm pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Nursing (BSN) and applied to FIU for this program. I haven't heard from the admissions committee with my decision yet and it's been so long so I decided to look into other options.

A Nurse Practitioner recommended to me to attend Santa Fe college and take a ASN program to become a RN then take a RN to BSN program at FIU. However, I'm not too fond of the Gainesville area and it may be more expensive, however I may rent an apartment and live with my friend.

I've also looked into Broward College's ASN program, going may be less expensive since I will have housing and I'm more fond of the Broward county area.

Basically I want to know which program offers the better ASN program? Please help me!!

Santa Fe has a fairly highly rated ASN program, from what I know. In the Gainesville area, I have been told that local employers prefer to hire RNs from Santa Fe over UF. I am applying to Santa Fe's ASN program and UF's accelerated BSN program. I don't know much about Broward or FIU. You might also want to reach out to places where you are interested in working after becoming an RN. Several places in Gainesville pay for their RNs to get their BSN while working.

I hope this helps.
