I have a couple of friends who are nurses who do 8 hour shifts in California and Ohio. In California, there are even short-hour(4 hour) shifts. Good luck on finding a suitable working situation!

Arkansas---12, 8 and the truly beautiful and magnificent 4 hour. The 4 hours are great because they are usually only 6 hours.
