Any career changers?--Accelerated BSN-NP or Accounting

I am really torn between these two fields. Have a masters degree in another field but want to change to either acelerated BSN--NP route or accounting.

Personal characteristics: I am a very quite person (introvert), perform better when working on a computer by myself,. In other words, I would do better in a desk job. (someone told me this once and it has stuck with me since).

In my current jos, I am required to plan a program and then go out and teach a group of people. I have come to realize that I really enjoy the planning part of the project, but hate and dread the implementation part of it---I feel too exposed when teaching a group of people.

Any advice?

thank you. i thought so too, but wanted to hear an affirmation. one question though about accounting, how is the stress level? is it too difficult to acquire a degree in accounting?since i have a masters in another area, do you think i would be well prepared for an accounting career if i pursued an mba in accounting, or would i be better if i pursued a bachelors in accounting and then a masters in accounting?

It doesn't sound like nursing would be your best bet. Providing health care means a very limited amount of time to consider your options for action and no second chances. Not exactly good for the nerves if you're the type who likes to plan things out thoroughly before taking action.

Some people do hate sitting at a computer or in an office day after day - nothing wrong with being okay with it, though! Many people don't like or do well at planning (or accounting) and appreciate (and pay for) the talents of those who do.

I have an accounting designation, and have been in the field for years. I had a lot of contract work (long term) - then had f/t positions. I've gotton to hate the field.

Run this report, or that, without any satisfacation at the end of the day. Anyone here from Canada as well?
