Accelerated nursing program - help!

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am currently attending a large, public University in Virginia and have decided to graduate as a Health Sciences major with hopes of enrolling in a nursing accelerated program after graduation. My question is this: my GPA is low because of some very serious family issues that occurred during my first and second year of college. Will the program be understanding if my GPA continues to improve? I am so worried I will not be accepted to ANY program.

Any advice is welcome! Thank you :)

It likely depends upon how low your GPA is at the time of application, plus how many applicants there are for X number of openings. I don't imagine that a school with a decent reputation and plenty of applicants would have room to accept someone with the "hope" that their GPA will improve over time.

Perhaps you have time to raise your GPA before you apply?
