I didn't see one of these posted for 2018, so I thought I'd get this party started. Feel free to contribute whatever info you like. Let's compare some stats!

Location: Massachusetts

Experience: Just about 3 years; BSN

Specialty: ED

Facility: Large urban hospital

Base Pay: $33 and some coin

Differentials: Evening, night & weekend = $3, $2 and $3/hr, respectively.

OT: Anything over my regularly scheduled shift is time and a half.

Specializes in NICU, Oncology, Pediatrics.

NICU nurse 34 years

Local Hospital

Oklahoma

base pay: $32(maxed out)

OT: Time and 1/2 over 40 hours

3-11 diff $2.50/hr 11-7 diff $3.00/hr

Weekend Diff $3.00/hr

Level2 RN 2.50/hr

Holidays: Time and 1/2

Location: Piedmont of North Carolina

Experience: 1.5 years, BSN

Specialty: Hospice

Facility: Hospice Home Care Division

Base Pay: $28 hourly

Differentials: Nights: $1.50; if you work the majority of the weekend they do give you 8 hours a check for "free."

OT: Anything over my regularly scheduled shift is time and a half.

Base Pay: Salaried, $54,000/year

Differentials: None

OT: None

On Call Pay: $30 per night, $40 per weekend day. $65 for PRN visit, $150 for death visit, $200 for admission (which happens more frequently than I would care to think, most admissions occur after 5pm. At least we get paid extra for them as they take around 4 to 5 hours)

Experience: RN 9 years in home health

Specialty: Home Health

Facility: NA

Base Pay: 56/hr working M-F approx 30 visits a week, Salary roughly 110-130k depending on OT and weekends worked.

Differential: no differential, make $200/wk on call

OT: time and a half for anything over 8 hrs/day and 40/wk

Location: DFW area, Texas

Experience: 1.5 years; BSN, RN

Specialty: Oncology

Facility: Oncology clinic

Base Pay: $60K salary - Works out to about $31.25/hr

Differentials: None, although once OCN certified will get a 2K raise per year.

OT: None - salary based and I do work about 3-5 hours per week overtime. The only downside.

Call: None

No nights, weekends, or holidays.

In the hospital setting, short answer, yes. Co-workers leave in droves for better pay. It doesn't bother me for the time being because my priorities are more than pay. Management doesn't micromanage, I get to self-schedule, I generally like my co-workers, and I don't have a family to support which would make getting paid more a bigger priority. When my priorities change and I do decide to leave, the experience I've received at this ER will practically let me write my own ticket to any ER.

Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, & TNCC

No weekend differential

No holiday pay

No charge pay

No certification pay

No preceptor pay

No float pay

No on call pay & no comp when called in

Insurance for a single plan is very expensive with extremely high deductable.
