  1. I just read that Las Vegas has a $10,000 sign-on bonus for nurses! Does anyone have info about that? *wow* Last night was another INSANE night...31 patients, 3 RNs and 2 (yes, TWO) CNAs. Run, run, all night long and praying I didn't miss anything.

    I have no idea about there, but where I live (VERY small town) there's a $3,000 sign on bonus, with tuition reimbursement, and there seems to be a lot of job satisfaction. Not sure what's going on here, but they must be doing something right. I'll let y'all know once I find out. I'm going to see about working there as a PCT for now. We'll see

    Hi. I don't mean to be negative, but there is a reason that history keeps repeating itself with nursing shortages. Employers never learn. They pay to get nurses, but they don't pay to keep nurses! There should not be the same turnaround for nurses as there is for patients. Any employers reading?
