Lara4d,
I've applied for the Spring '16 semester and I'm awaiting my letter of approval/denial. Best of luck! Hopefully, we'll see one another soon.
I'm waiting also! So nervous! Do you have everything completed??
That's the part that makes me nervous. I have everything completed, with the exception of Microbiology, Microbiology Lab, and Developmental Psychology (all of which I'm currently taking this semester).
Rumor has it that letters are being mailed out this Friday. I would suspect that these letters will be their initial acceptance letters, since they'll need to see if everyone accepts his/her seat and if not, they'll continue down the list.
Of course, the anticipation is killing me.
Well best of luck to you!! Micro was hard for me!! Fingers crossed!
Ah, so you have all of your per-requisites completed, then? If so, that's always a good sign! I'm hoping my GPA, HESI score, and the classes I've taken thus far will be enough, but we'll see soon enough.
I've been trying to get an idea of what everyone's stats are (i.e. HESI score, GPA, and classes taken), but I haven't ran into too many people that have applied, but I have heard that there were approximately 200 applications for the Spring.
I guess it doesn't help to dwell on things outside of our control, huh? BEST OF LUCK!
Have you taken pharmacology yet? I do have all of my pre requisites and a 90 or above on all Hesi. The only thing I am concerned with is my GPA . I didn't do well when I was younger I knew a few people last semester who got in while taking micro. It is so hard not to stress. Let me know if you hear anything!!
I'm currently taking Pharmacology. That's good to hear! I have a 90+ on my HESI and all, but three, of my pre-reqs completed. Hopefully, that won't prevent me from getting in (although, this is my first attempt). From what I've heard, the overall GPA isn't a tremendous factor in consideration for the program.
I believe some of the "criteria" are that they take the HESI score and multiply it be two (ex. 94 x 2 = 188), add it to your scores based off your individual classes (an A would grant you more points than a B would), if you're a Bay County resident you get a certain amount of points, plus previous medical experience, etc. So, at least it's a fairly faceted selection process.
Hopefully, I'm one of the lucky 50! I'll keep in touch and especially if I hear any news.
I called the Nursing Admin. Assistant and she stated that she mailed out both the acceptance/denial letters on Tuesday. So, we'll find out sooner than later!
I got my letter. I got in!!! This was my second time applying! Fingers crossed and prayers for you!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS! I haven't received my letter yet, however I hope I get it tomorrow. I'll post whether I got in or not as soon as I found out.

I received my letter today and unfortunately I did not get accepted. It was my first time applying. I made a 94 on my HESI but did not have all of my coreqs completed. I am currently taking A&P 2 lecture and lab, Intro to Pharm, & Dev. Psych. I will be taking Microbiology next semester and will reapply for Fall 2016. Good luck to everyone. Congratulations to those of you that are fortunate enough to get in. Please share any tips or tricks for those of us that will be reapplying for the fall.
