Hi guys, I’m applying to the Texas Tech Nursing program for Fall 2020! I just wanted to get in touch w some of you guys & talk about the program and our chances of getting in. My gpa is really not competitive. Science Gpa 3.25, Overall 3.47. I also got a 86.75 on my Hesi, and will include a letter of recommendation. Is this program really competitive? I’m super nervous. ? I am retaking my chem class which is the only C I have, and a few other to better my chances for the following application period, as well as for Uteps Fall 2020 program.. Let me know your stats below and how you’re feeling about the application! ?

Im almost done with my application! I’m super nervous because of my gpa. Cumulative 3.14, science 3.53. I got a 86.14 on my hesi. Im going to upload a letter of recommendation as well. I also have 2+ years of being a CNA, as well as my phlebotomy certification and bls. Hopefully we’ll be fine!

Hello ? From what I’ve heard, they look at more of the HESI. They also mainly look at Anatomy, bio & chem. My GPA isn’t the best either. 3.5 overall 3.5 science GPA.
HESI 82Anatomy 96
bio 88
chem 80
math 86
Vocab 86
grammar 74
reading comp 62 (wasn’t looking at the clock and ran out of stupid time!
For that reason, I’m extremely nervous. I emailed an advisor and she did encourage to apply, that they look more towards the science sections, but I’m SO NERVOUS. This will be my second time applying.
I’m so nervous too.? I really hope my HESI scores can save me. With what stats did you apply your first time around?

HESI was a 81
Anatomy 64
bio 80
chem 92
grammar 80
reading 82
They told me I had a very strong application, but anatomy is the one the mainly look at and needed it to be better. First time applying, I thought they just looked at the overall score. I don’t know why I ever thought that in the first place lol

Hi, this is my first time applying and I got an 83 on my HESI, but I did poorly on the Anatomy part, I believe I got a 64.. Do you think they took into account what you got in the class as well? I got A’s in both my Anatomy classes and I hope it can help the fact that I did poorly on that HESI section ?
In all honesty, I can’t have a direct answer. I know they look at everything, but from the advising they told me the Anatomy portion from the HESI has to be at least a 75 or higher, and for it to even be the highest score. I have a B in Anatomy 1 and A in Anatomy 2.Of course, with this new application process there can be not as competitive applications and I think that’s what it really comes down to. I know they usually pick their top 80

Hi, I am also an applicant for the Fall 2020 semester. Does anyone know when acceptance letters might be going out? I know it said 6-8 weeks but has anyone been told something else while going to get advised?

Hello ? Last time I applied around the same time last year, I didn’t receive anything until the last week of March. Literally received an email the 28th! I would say be patient because regardless, you will relieve an email. ?

Thank you! I’ve been trying not to think about it but now that it’s March I’m stressing ?
Did everyone just receive an email from Texas Tech? About one of their community partners? I thought it was the emails letting us know if we got in or not ???
