Is there anything besides tape to keep the connection intact between tube feeding and g-tube while tube feeding is taking place? Yes, there should be an adequate fit...but due to different companies being used, different products, it just does not always work...is there any "gadget" out there to keep the two together?

Thanx:p

Don't know of any - but I pity the patient who has to endure a poorly fitted "taped" connection - leakage is bad enough when connections pop apart, but this must make it a more frequent occurance.

I'd say your facility should be using products that match up, purchasing all related products from the same company.... is anyone looking into that aspect of things too?

Lopez Valve by BMP, Inc. It is basically a stop cock so you don't have to disconnect the tube feeding from the NG or GT. One side has a longer thinner port that goes into the tube and the other has a shorter fatter port that has a ble rubber tube that fits over it. You then put the port of the feeding bag ito that prt. There is a third port to administer meds. It is really nice. It says Assmebled in Mexico

San Clemente, CA 92673 USA

Lot: S1T230.

Hope that helps.

Make sure the ports are in the right way or the feedings will pop off and create the same problem you are currently having.
