GA soon to be pre-nursing student-please help me to select undergraduate school!

Published

Hi everyone!

I am a senior in high school who is having a hard time choosing which college to go to.

I am almost positive that I will apply to a nursing school after 2 years of college.

However, I don't know if I should go to UGA or Oxford College at Emory. (or Tech)

Since Emory has a nursing school, would there be more advantage for me to attend Oxford Emory? or does it not matter at all which college I choose to go to for now, till I finish the pre-requsites for nursing?

Athens seems very appealing to me to have a traditional college experience during the first 2 years of college. On the other hand, Oxford might help me learn better since the class size is very small compared to it at UGA.

Also, I haven't yet heard of anyone becoming a nurse after going to GA Tech,so I don't think I will consider going there.

If anyone has or heard of experiences of doing pre-nursing/applying to nursing school at those schools mentioned above, can you please give me advices?

Thank you ! :) : ) : )

It doesnt matter which school you choose for the prereqs but you should attend a school where they have nursing. If you not, you can still take your preregs anywhere and just transfer to a nursing school. You have to apply to more than 2 nursing school because they have different criteria for admission to the nursing school and its very competitive. When it comes down to nursing school, you should choose what nursing school you want to go to. Its just a matter of what school accepts you.
