Published

hello im new to the board and right now I am taking my pre req's at Atl metropolitan college they dont offer any of the clinicals or anything needed to get my ADN which is what i want i dont have the money nor the time to go to the BSN. One of my Questions that I have is what schools do they have in or close to the atlanta area (im not originaly form here)? also what are the waiting times for entrance into these programs ? and do u have to take an exit or entrance exam for the programs? if anyone could help i would gladly appreciate it thank u.

Gordon College has an excellent nursing program; you can find a more complete list on the GA Board of Nursing's website & go from there.

Nurse Marla, do you feel that acceptance into Gordon's nursing program was very competitive?

Yes, I do. I was only able to get in as quickly as I did because I was one of the few that heard about their new Spring semester class (at the time). Keep your GPA up and do well in A&P and you should be fine.

I noticed when i googled it that it is a part of the ga state university system which my school is also so i should be able to transfer all courses. smh my school only offers the prenursing classes (such as A&P, chemisty bio exc.) and they want to give u a AS IN PRE NURSING WHICH IS A RIP OFF beacuse then u have to spend more money to get ur classes that u need tobecome a RN by going to another school. it really sucks. my school is only good if u plan on going straight to a BSN i just want my associates to start with and then i want to do a bridge program after a year. THANKS FOR THE INFO
