FSW nursing spring 2019

Published

Hi all,

im creating this blog in hopes to find others who are planning on applying for the spring 2019 nursing program at fsw. I know it's a while from now, but I'll like to get to know a few people and maybe we can help eachother through the process.

Hello!! I'm applying in the spring time also. I'm applying to all ANEW programs, my first choice would be Lee. I'm just waiting to take the teas test which I'm super nervous about.

Hey! im applying for spring as well i applied to fall but unfortunately my stats class did not process as stats so im reapplying and making sure i cross all T and dot all my i's.

sorry for the late reply. Have you taken the TEAS yet? i want to register for aug 8th but I don't feel prepare. I'm also nervous.

did you finish all your prereqs? I'm taking my last one right now. I hope you get in this time around. How did you do on your TEAS?

When did you know that your stats class wasn't going through? Did they notify you right away or was it after they closed the application process? I'm transferring all my prerequisite classes from another college and I want to make sure all my classes will go through

My situation was unique because my old AP scores had been archived and it held up my transcripts from being processed. They got processed the day the application was due so i had no idea that the issue was there. I'm currently trying to correct it but you can check now on your portal and if there is an issue you would have to submit a credit review the sooner you find out the better.

Hey everyone! I just applied to the FSW ADN program for Spring 2019. Charlotte Trad and Lee Trad are my top two choices. I have completed 7 of the 9 prereqs and taken the TEAS. Now, I am just sitting and waiting.

@castimcnasti awesome! What did you score on the TEAS if you don't mind sharing. And how was the TEAS overall?

I got 92% on the TEAS overall. I personally didn't find it particularly difficult, but I know there are a lot of people out there who score in the mid-to-high 70's. But I have more college experience than most who take the exam (I already hold a B.S. in Exercise Science and I studied Civil Engineering for 2.5 years) I only studied for about a week prior to taking the exam (because that was when I had decided to pursue nursing). But I pretty much locked myself in a room and studied 5-8 hours a day up until the exam.

Have you taken it yet?

hey everyone! i replied on another thread for the same entry term, but i recently applied for the ASN Traditional schedule at Lee campus. i have an 86 on my second TEAS attempt and a 3.3 transfer gpa. i think my tally score was around 75? i have completed all of the prereqs at FGCU but i'm nervous to see if they are all accepted!!

Hey guys, I am currently a level II nursing student in the ANEW program out of the LEE campus. As far as transferring credits from other institutions, I transferred all of mine from HCC and they all got approved except for my microbiology. I am in the middle of a credit review for that class now but I don't think I will have a problem getting it accepted. For those of you who still need to complete a humanities class for this degree, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A WRITING INTENSIVE HUMANITIES COURSE that is approved by FSW. A lot of students in my class who already have degrees are in the middle of a credit review because the humanities course they took wasn't accepted. They may have to take it again. Just a heads up!
