Hello, everyone!
Since I have not seen one started on this site, I thought I would go ahead and get the ball rolling. This thread is for anyone hoping to get into FSCJ's Nursing Program for the term starting in the Summer of 2014.
has anyone taken statistics, any professors that y'all recommend?
Do you learn well on your own? I am taking a professor online and it is great you just read the chapters, do the homework, and take the chapter tests. No midterm or final or proctored tests to go to like it states in the class description. I can message you his name, I don't think we're supposed to post them on the website.
Amanda I would agree with you. I did get a high school diploma and went on to take classes when it was FCJ...
Thank you and exactly, I just feel like this website is for us to talk each other up not to look down on people even if you think that is somebody that won't read it. It has nothing to do with my insecurity because I know exactly where I stand, but I just feel as future nurses we should have empathy and not a superior attitude.
I had a good one at Cecil North Campus. It was a hump of a ride but well worth it. A total of 5 test but if you have an A average you don't have to take the 5th exam. He is an Old school teacher no book cause he gives you all the materials he wants you to have in a handout. If you in box me I will give you his name.
I don't think there is a delay, we really still have like a month and a half before the actual date for the acceptance letters. I would worry about the cutoff being higher based on this discussion either, cause it is only like 12 people out of everyone. Also there are gonna be people with really low scores, people with really high scores that don't turn in everything, and People that get accepted that don't accept because of life issues or acceptance somewhere else. I think every one on this chat is gonna be fine. I think the fact that everyone here takes the time to worry about it so much and look into it as much as we do are pretty prioritized, therefore we will all have completed what needs to be required and we will be seeing each other this summer. I will be the guy with the beer belly. Well hopefully I get rid of it by then. LOL!!
Not that this should affect the nursing program work per say. But let's also remember that FSCJ has a new president. The school is going through a lot of changes and controversy, especially in the financial aid dept. Who knows what they are making all of the different parts of the school do. So that could also be a factor in why they are a little later than past semesters. Spring 2014 got their letters 18 days after cut off! So I was def hopeful. Lol but with everything going on there, might be closer to the 8 week mark (praying for quicker obviously.. lol)
Based on the faster response that the other semesters were getting I also assumed that things would be sooner than later but we all know what assuming does. Nothing was in the mail today so I will continue to look forward to every day with optimism. Im really just thankful to be in this position it's been a long road.
