Is there anyone planning to apply for FSCJ's Summer 2011 RN program? I am taking A&PI and II next semester with Human Growth and Dev. and Sociology, then I'll apply. I am taking Microbiology during the spring prior to going into the program. I am taking the Nat in September after Chem 1032. What about you?
hey everyone. i saw earlier that everyone was talking about BSN vs ASN earlier and worried about finding jobs. i'm in term 2 right now, doing my clinicals at baptist beaches. there are a lot of nurses who only have associates. there are even LPNs who took the extra certification to learn how to do IV's that work on the floor and do all of the same things that RNs do. i just got a job as an ACP for baptist, and this is a really good way to get your foot in the door - whether you're in a BSN or ASN program. my manager told me he gets his ACPs from FSCJ jobs as RNs all the time when they graduate. so don't listen to or worry about those saying that we won't get jobs

Do you feel or think that working and going to nursing school is to much? Is it possible to work and do well on tests and clinicals, studying and have time for other things? I have heard that it is hard, but I want to start working somewhere eventually if I get in the program or not.
I read in a previous Summer thread that someone called North Campus and they told them when they expected the letters to go out. If we don't get something soon I may just be desperate enough to do that! lol. The waiting stinks, it would be nice if we had a smaller timeframe to expect them in.
I read one thread where someone called about the letters, and CJ herself told the person not to expect letters anytime soon b/c they had not even been sent out. The next day, some people got their letters and everyone else got them the day after. That's why I'm not calling. You can never get a straight answer!
