I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.
Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?
The end goal is CRNA, either masters or DNAP depending on the requirements by then. I want to take my time by going ADN then BSN and so on because I really rushed through school to get my marketing degree that I don't even use lol. Also I really didn't find an Accelerated BSN program that had the clinical experience like the ADN. Theory is good and all but I want to know what I'm doing first, especially coming from a non medical background. Later down the road if the opportunity presents itself I would like to do a MBA/JD combo.
My end goal is a masters in midwifery, or a CNM.I really want to be a part of improving women's care in the US.
Thanks for asking,
S :)
Same here!!! Im torn between specializing in peds or midwifery. Pretty sure CNM is the route I want to take though. I had a midwife for both of my pregnancies and LOVED her! What better of a job than to bring sweet babies into the world everyday!! :heartbeat
Future, :-)
It makes me so happy to know that others feel the same. Many times I get sideways stares when I tell them what I want, but I've always believed in the philosophy of empowering women with choices.
I didn't have a good hospital experience, and society told me that it was the norm, but it doesn't have to be! :-)
What schools are you scouting for your BSN and CNM?

Either Chamberlain or JU for my BSN (both have the same accreditation and cost about the same) and then UF for my Masters in Midwifery. They have a "campus" here near Shands. Id LOVE to be a UF Alumni!! Go Gators!!! lol. I havent looked into to many other Midwife programs because I REALLY want to get in there, but I am going to check out some more places as other options. Not too many Colleges near here have Masters in Midwifery programs, not that I have found anyways. What about you??

Well fellow hopefuls, I hope that you all get N/W. I'm kinda kicking myself for not considering the smaller class sizes, but I suppose that means one less person to compete with for the N/W seat. ;-)
Acceptance letters can't come soon enough. :-)
