FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

Everything you just said is correct. I am getting my finger prints and drug test done monday. I wasn't able to get a hold of a doctors office for the shot stuff.

I know my doctor will just send me to a lab for all the lab work. I wonder if I could go ahead and make a lab appt? like at quest? does anyone know about this?

Has anyone made a facebook page yet for our class?

It's due on the 25th? My packet says August 8th is the date for required confirmation of completion of background check and drug screen plus the physical exam and health related documents. I've already started scheduling appointments but I want to make sure I'm not late for anything!

Where do we get the skils kit? Also, does anyone know the address for this Florida Specialty place we have to buy the polo and khaki's from? I looked it up online but I can't find it. And if any of the current nursing students could suggest a good but affordable stethoscope I would really appreciate it!!

The packages are out. I received mine today. The day they were mailed out (according to the USPS post stamp date ) is July 17th.

My score was around 192. Another friend of mine got hers and her score was around 178-179 (around that). Good luck to everyone!

I am so happy. I got my letter today. Nights and weekends. This is the best news to me because I had to withdraw from the nursing program at a private school because I had to repeat health assessment and it was going to cost $900 for one class I cannot afford that especially since I no longer qualify for grants so I had to withdraw. I cannot wait until I start this program. I feel like I am back home. Congrats to everyone that got there letter today. It's been a long wait. We are on or way.

It says the 25th on another part..8th is for all the health stuff
