@Carmen Bruch I just applied to the Post-Master's CNM program at Georgetown and am finishing up my application for Frontier as well. It looks like with my CNS I still do not qualify for the Post-Master's program at Frontier so I would have to apply to their Master's program and try to transfer a few credits. Whereas at Georgetown I do qualify for their PMC which will save me some time, money, and having to repeat my MSN.
I just attended the Georgetown Webinar tonight also, super helpful!
Which CNM program did you apply for? The dual MSN?
Currently I am leaning more towards Georgetown TBH.
I applied to the NM/WHNP program and I have my online interview tomorrow! I have loved all the help I have received from Georgetown during this process. I was conflicted on where to apply, but ultimately felt this was the right choice for me. It sounds like Georgetown might be a better fit for you also.
I haven’t found a lot of posts out there about others who have applied recently, so it was nice to hear from you!
Good luck with everything!
@MidwifeyToBe MSN RN, @Carmen Bruch, I know this is an old post, but do either of you have updates?? My friend and I considering both Frontier and Georgetown as we speak. We are both interested in the dual track CNM/WHNP. I'd love to hear if either of you have any advice!
Hi @amc510 ! I ended up getting into the dual CNM/WHNP program UCSF. Post masters, as I already have my MSN.
I really liked Georgetown too but I live in SF and UCSF was a better fit for me. When I was considering GT vs Frontier I asked a lot of midwives in my community about their experience or knowledge of both programs. One over simplified answer I got was that Frontier will make you into a really great midwife but their style is very unique and aligns more with "out of hospital" births. Vs GT is a program that makes you into a very versatile midwife and has a large emphasis on political advocacy and justice as it is based out of DC. For my area, GT seems to have a slightly better reputation but that being said I haven't heard anything negative come from Frontier.
For both: they are online programs with on-campus intensives. Different online formats, however. Also depending on where you live, integration placement can be very difficult. For me, the Bay Area is saturated with CNM/WHNP students from UCSF so all the GT midwives I know had to go out of state for a couple months. I have heard GT has a stronger placement program than Frontier and that seems very apparent by the amount of people I see asking for mentorship on ACNM. Finally, my admissions advisors for both schools were not even comparable. For GT they were super responsive and followed-up a lot. Frontier, it was impossible to get a hold of someone and it always took them 1-2 weeks to respond to an email. Again, I have not attended either of these programs but that is just my observational research.
Best of luck!!

Frontier is one of the oldest nursing schools in the USA. They have been teaching midwifery since 1930 and were the ones who went horseback into the Appalachians to help deliver babies for the poor. They are affordable and have the most expertise definitely check them out. Good Luck.
Hi Everyone! I just got into both Cincinnati and Georgetown’s CNM programs and I’m trying to decide which program? Does anyone have any insight into either of these programs? Also, do you know if you can continue to work part-time while in clinical? I know Georgetown recommends you don’t work your last 2 semesters because you’re on call a lot. Any other helpful info you have about either program? Thanks in advance!

Hello all,
I am writing to see if anyone has experience for the online CNM programs offered at both Frontier and Georgetown Universities. I would be applying to the post-masters component for both but any and all experience, wisdom, or advice you have are welcome!
TIA ?
