Hi everyone! After much soul searching I have decided to return to school and become an RN. Since I already have my BA and a Masters degree in education from LMU, I found that Mount St. Mary's accelerated BSN program to be my best route towards achieving that goal. Has anyone here completed the program? Do you have any tips, advice and suggestions for me? I am currently a classroom teacher and am looking at completing the prereqs in my spare time. If and when I get accepted to the program I am going to quit work and dedicate myself to the program full time. Any suggestions or advice would be fantastic! Thanks :)

Just wanted to say hello! It seems I'm hearing about a lot of teachers turned nurses, lately. I know of one nurse turned teacher, too.
I don't have advice or suggestions... just wanted to tell you congratulations on pursuing your dream of becoming a nurse.

Hi. I'm a career changer and currently in an accelerated BSN program (not at the one you're interested in). Your plan is well thought out and in my opinion, the best route to take in this economy. I will be in my 3rd semester out of 4, starting first week in September, and want to say these ABSN programs are intense. They are very much doable, but most of my time is spent with my head in the books.
Like you, I don't have a science background, but we non-science degree students can do well in these ABSN programs, as long as we apply ourselves.
Good luck to you.
