From Cardiac to ER

Just joined allnurses, but I have been reading several posts in the ER thread. Just looking for any advice from nurses already in the ER as I am starting in just a few weeks.

My background:

LPN since 2010 in a very busy cardiac outpatient clinic

RN since Jan 2014- nursing rounds on hospitalized patients with the same cardiac group

I decided that I wanted to do something different and advance my knowledge and skills as a nurse. I did two ER rotations during nursing school and loved it, so I began looking for an ER position and was just recently hired at a busy community hospital ER.

I am just looking for any advice before starting in the ER!

How can I better prepare myself? (books, videos, etc)
