From Cali to Michigan

Hello,
I am an LVN in California for going on 7 years now. My husband just may land an awesome opportunity in Lansing, Michigan so I wanted to ask about the LPN job market there. I am looking online on indeed and other sites as well. I have 3 years hospital experience, 1 year in psych, 1 year home health and 2 years family medicine clinic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

P.S...I am just wrapping up my last semester of pre-requisites. As of yet, I have not found an LPN to RN bridge program in Lansing.

As far as the LPN job market in Lansing, most of the hospitals in the area don't hire in the LPN role. Mostly just sub-acute rehab facilities. There are a few PCTs (similar to CNAs) that have their LPN in our hospital, but they can't pass meds.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have found McLaren Healthcare to have a few positions open. I have wanted to move out of state for many years. California has lost it's appeal due to over saturated roads/highways, fast paced lifestyle, over saturated nursing programs, too hot, extreme difficulty at home purchasing and that is too name a few. I am sure Lansing will have it's pros and cons as well, but my life seems to just have started in my 40's and I am welcoming the change :woot:
