I also had the same exact concern. So I did speak with my advisor at FS and she told me that this past Spring Cycle they looked at the GPA and Teas score (mostly to see if you passed with a 75%).

Hi ariellevanilla,

I am a Fresno state student and I am finishing up my last pre-req at Fresno city. I decided to take anatomy and physiology at Fresno city because I was highly recommended a professor over there. From my understanding, admissions is based on gpa and teas may be used as a tie breaker. Taking pre-reqs at a community college may be easier compared to FS especially the science courses. Therefore, to obtain better grades i think taking them at a community college would be a good idea especially since they don't take into consideration where you took your pre-reqs, as long as you have them completed.

How about there? The teachers are nice and helpful? Classmates are friendly? I am applied 2019 fall.

Do you mind sharing your stats? I also applied for 2019 fall with pre req gpa of 3.77 and teas 89%

My start is prerequisites GPA 4.0, Teas 77. I thought I retake Teas in February but I can’t now. I know the Teas is very low which is what I am worry about.

I applied for fall 2019 with a 4.0 GPA in prerequisites and overall and a 79% on my TEAs. Anyone else have around the same stats that was admitted to fall 2018?

Wow, I only have 77 on Teas, others are same. I also want to know if only one with the same stats get in last year. I am worry about my Teas too low, but I called them, they said they only look at the 8 prerequisites GPA as long as you have 75 on Teas. Hopefully we both get in.

Glad I finally found a thread regarding the fall admissions. I would find them for spring, and I noticed usually the dates the emails are sent out are consistent and so it seems like I might find out tomorrow whether I got in. From what I’m seeing, realistically I’ll probably be out on the waitlist. 87% teas and 1 B on prereqs so a 3.8.

Looks like the results came in today, I wasn’t accepted. Looks like spring it is for me, but I kind of had a feeling since at the semester counselor group meetings we have, they said this was a very competitive pool of applicants. Good luck to everyone else:)

Okay, another change of plan. I am now on an alternatives list. So I guess I’ll find out in a month if anyone steps down and I get put in. Will keep this thread updated.

You are in 2018, there is one 2019 fall, you can move there!
