This will be our turn ?
Hello,
I'm not sure when my lottery status was changed, last night or today because I didn't check last night. Last time I checked was Friday and status was pending. This morning at 9am, I checked and mine was updated to selected for Fall 2023 but the acceptance link wasn't available until 1pmish. It doesn't state if I'm selected by merit or by random selection. I've applied many times before but never got in.
Just in case this helps: My MCS points is around 88 if I did it correctly. 80 on TEAS, AS degree, CNA certification, 3.6 Culmulative GPA, 3.5 science, and 4.0 General.
Good luck you guys!
Hello all, I had applied to FCC nursing program for two years and did not get selected, but I did get picked for Fresno State's BSN program. A little background, it is competitive, but that might be to some of your benefits (certainly not everyone, so please don't think I'm pushing this to be a fix for everyone). They go based off of your prerequisite GPA and TEAS scores mostly. Lots of 4.0 GPA and my TEAS was a 93.3%, but some got in the 80s. If you're a veteran, you'll get priority and can get in with a slightly lower GPA. I am not a veteran and had a few academic renewals from some F's that I got about 11 years ago that they did not hold against me, including a retake of Anatomy.
The BSN at Fresno State is a 5 semester program, as opposed to a 4 semester program for the ASN.
Just something to think about for those of you with the grades to go for it. You'll need just a couple more classes, but you can knock those out over the Summer if you're determined. I'm in my second semester now, and it's tough, but soooo good. I absolutely love everything about the program and my cohort.

I'm in my 3rd semester now and doing horribly in school. Feeling very discouraged. I've embraced the idea of repeating but who knows if I pull it together maybe I can still pass clinical.
PrereqTaker89 said:How many people are axed. They've cut 6 from 3rd semester already and the last semester in 3rd lost 15. I just can't stand seeing so many good students cut. I'm on probation so I may be next...
Wow. Why are they cutting out people? Is it due to grades or what is it? What's making 3rd semester so much harder? I'm sorry to hear. Keep positive. You will make it through.

It's not about grades. It's clinical. If you have a target on you, you won't make it. I've seen some get away with mistakes that others would be dissmissed for. We'll see if I make it, it will all be over in 3 weeks.

I was changed to eligible 4 weeks ago but my lottery status is still "pending"
