Do you know if you met minimum requirements? Or did you just apply without talking to counselor?

I meet the min. requirements, I have all A's/B's, the only thing is, my TEAS score was at 62.  So, I barely made it.  But my GPA is above 3.5.  And I know that my competitors have better TEAS scores, GPA, and some hold a Bachelor's degree.  So, FCC can be picky.

I haven't met with a counselor.  I just applied 1 day before the deadline.

Hmm I’m starting to believe that they truly are going to just throw everyone in the lottery.

You can always apply to Modesto. They allow multiple retakes of the TEAS. Did you take it last minute without any time to study?

Our odds of being picked will be about 20% if that’s the case 220/1100

Yea, I barely studied.  I hate the TEAS.  absolutely hate it. I feel like it's another way for schools to make money off us, since most of us have prob. taken it a few times just to get that high score and ATI created this "need" to make money off us.  We can't use financial aid to pay for it, we don't receive any type of tax write-off for it especially for those with limited income, it comes out of our pockets and if we don't achieve the highest score, we can be disqualified because of it.  I'm an awesome LVN, did exceptionally well in my prereqs, but because I didn't score high on the TEAS, I will be disqualified? totally unfair.  The TEAS does not determine whether I will be an amazing RN or not. TEAS has nothing to do with being an RN.  So, yea, I have a very strong opinion on this TEAS.

I will most likely take the TEAS again this year.  I have to just apply myself.  I hate it though.

Yea, I guess.  FCC will take in 200 +- for fall, and 200 +- for Spring, am I correct?

What do you mean by putting everyone into the lottery?

So, if an individual's evaluation still reads: pending; they were not chosen? They are only evaluating applications that were picked for Fall 2021/Spring 2022?

My application status read: Completed before most people on here; however, I read that it meant nothing if the status reads "completed." It is based on whether it reads eligible or ineligible on the evaluation status.

Not sure how to explain exactly but I mean they would put everyone who applied into the lottery without evaluating whether or not they are eligible first. Then only evaluate those who were selected. If among those selected, someone comes up ineligible, they select someone else from the unselected and evaluate that person. I mean technically it’s the same thing because it’s all luck anyways but I just feel if that’s the case they should have done that a while ago.

Ugh, if that is the case, hopefully, my status changes to eligible soon.

For all the individuals who have contacted Ms. Hoff, did she write:

"  We received over 1100 applications and it does take time to review application packets.  Please continue to check your status as it will be updated between now and the week of April 19th, 2021.  Any further questions may be answered when review of applications has been completed."

I wrote to her the first week of March. I'm trying to figure out if she's trying to hint that I will have to talk to a counselor to ask questions regarding my application. LOL
