Freaking out! 75Qs, last one was SATA

Published

Hello everyone!

I took my NCLEX RN this morning, had 75Q, 9 SATA (the last one was SATA too), 3 med. calc (not the easiest ones, and Im usually good at those), about 6 med. Q's, 2 of which I have never heard of, no delegation, about 6-7 inf. control. Id say that about 60% of the test was priority questions. Some of the Q's I literally had to guess! The good thing is that I wasnt really anxious during the test, and left feeling confident, but Im very anxious now...

anybody had a similar test and passed??

I would say: YOU PASSED!

I had 9 SATA at time. so, I see it as a big signal: passed!

rosin83,

SATAs are just a type of question. so don't freak about those. That being said, I took mine on Tuesday and only had 75 questions. I passed.

I learned that everyone essentially gets 50% right and 50%wrong. that would mean that yes you probrably got alot wrong. but you also got alot right. The anxiety you are feeling is normal and real, accept it you'll be able to move past it sooner.

Everyone here who passed with 75q will tell you they felt like they failed with the exception of a few. Best advise Suzanne gave me was to wait for the results (I was already looking for new ways to study), try your best to keep occupied.

One last thing in my imediate study group (7 students) we all only got 75q and we all passed. I wouldn't read to many 'I FAILED' postings over the next few days either, that will only make you more anxious.

congrats on finishing nursing school and taking the boards, keep us 'posted';)

The replies here speak the truth. I passed after taking it this Wed. I got 75q, tons of SATAs, I thought I failed for two days. Was in a horrible depression and was thinking of how to study for this exam again.

I passed.

I tested on 8/6, finished my 75 questions around 3 p.m., and had my results (name on board website) by 8 a.m. on 8/8. The time in between was filled with doubt and despair! I felt confident when I first left the testing center, but as the time ticked on, the confidence slipped away. I'm not sure anyone feels like they passed, EVER. :) I kept telling myself that I just HAD to have passed, and I did. Stay positive!!

hehe....i am still studying....i took the pn yesterday and it shut off at 85....i KNOW i failed......too many quesses on my part.....i can feel it....

so....i studied last night and today all ready..,.

momtojosh, please take some time off of studying! I'm hoping you'll find it was very unnecessary. *hugs* I felt like I failed, too, but I didn't! Almost everyone feels like they failed!! Hang in there. Go be good to yourself ... get a mani-pedi or a haircut while you wait. :)
